Welcome to the January 2025 edition of The Sales & Marketing Collective from [axr] Recruitment & Search—our monthly wrap-up of the career moves we find the most inspiring.

We’re kicking off the new year with some fantastic moves across Senior, Sales, and Marketing roles, reflecting the strong momentum we saw in the market towards the end of 2024.

Senior Appointments 

  • Steve Caruso has stepped into the role of Commercial Director at Congo Drinks. Steve was previously Sales Director at Red Bull. 
  • Michael Ryan has taken on the role of Head of Sales & Category, Family Care ANZ at Kimberly-Clark, leaving his role as CEO at Proform Foods. 
  • Amy Hiscock has joined Lion as Brand Director, Craft & Premium, moving on from her role as Director, Brand Development APAC for Suntory.

Sales Appointments 

  • Michael Williams has joined Lindt & Sprüngli as National Business Manager – Woolworths, transitioning from Sales Director at Nexba.
  • Isobel Davis is now Senior National Account Manager – Major Grocery at Mutti, leaving her role as National Sales Manager at EHP Labs.
  • Georgie Theologedis has moved to Huhtamaki Tailored Packaging as National Sales Manager, previously Sales Director at Opal Group.
  • Naomi Jackson has joined Manassen Foods as National Business Manager -Woolworths, vacating her role as Head of Sales at Hypro Premium.
  • Shaun Letts departs his role as Head of Channel Strategy for On & Off Premise in CCEP’s licensed division to re-join Lion as National Account Manager for its RTD portfolio. 
  • Ken Lacey has joined Stabila as National Account Manager, previously National Account Manager at Hewitt.
  • Nick Moran is now National Business Manager at Primo, transitioning from his role as Senior National Account Manager at Goodman Fielder.
  • Blair Williams moves to Suntory Oceania as National Business Manager IBA, leaving his position as National Business Manager at CUB.
  • Lucy Holbrow has joined Suntory Oceania as National Business Manager – Off Premise, previously Private Label Operations Manager at Metcash.
  • Mark Peate is now Head of Business Development at Green by Nature, transitioning from his role as Business Development Director at Altus Group.
  • Jamila Diamonon moves to Diageo as National Account Manager – On-Premise (Events & Sponsorships), leaving her role as National Account Manager – On-Premise, Strategic Groups at Campari.
  • Amanda Lyall joins Manassen Foods as National Account Executive, moving from her position as NSW Area Manager at De Bortoli Wines.
  • James Sinclair has joined Velux Australia as National Account Manager, transitioning from National Account Manager at Sealord Group.

Marketing Appointments 

  • Isabella Margin joins KFC South Pacific (Yum! Brands Subsidiary) as Brand Manager – Menu & Innovation, leaving her role as Brand Manager – Johnnie Walker at Diageo.
  • Marlene CronjeVermeulen is now Packaging Technology Manager at Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO), previously R&D Packaging Lead at JDE.
  • Hanna Bystrom has joined Rushfaster as E-commerce Marketing Coordinator, moving from her role as Senior Digital Marketing Specialist at Sea to Summit. 
  • Jessica Davis moves to Pet Resorts Australia as Marketing Manager, leaving her position as Marketing Manager at Peoplebank.
  • Bridgette McMechan has joined Langtons as Marketing Manager CRM, transitioning from her role as CRM & Lifecycle Specialist at BWS.
  • Madeleine Turner is now Head of Digital at Bec + Bridge, previously Digital Lead at Nike.
  • Eloise Callaway joins HelloFresh as Senior Partnerships Manager – Retail Media, leaving her role as Category Manager at eBay.
  • Geraldine Hessey joins Care Pharmaceuticals as their Marketing Manager, departing from her role as Lecturer, International Business at University of Sydney.

Category Appointments 

  • Robert Lugton flies the flag for Category this month, joining Starbucks as Category Manager, having previously been New Business Development Manager for Foodco.
