Last Wednesday we held our annual Trivia night and had over 140 friends of the business join us. The night was to raise funds for the Day of Difference Charity that is undertaking research in to the cause and effects on kids who suffer critical injury. It is an area that is massively underfunded, yet impacts more kids than cancer, diabetes and heart disease combined. The impact is also felt by the families and this is where the Charity is focussed – ensuring children return to a stable, well supported home equipped to deal with these life changing events.
The night was a great success, raising over $14,000 that goes directly to the Charity. The winning team was Nova FM who just managed to beat the perennial bridesmaids, Whitehaven Coal. A special mention goes to the Ingenia Community Team for their enthusiasm in the tricycle race, and silent auctions as well as Cameron from Tridant who was best on ground managing to win a multitude of prizes and challenges.
The major part of the fund raising starts this Thursday with a 600KM bike ride through Western NSW starting at Lithgow and passing through Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo and Mudgee. We are aiming to raise $250,000 and have over 40 riders challenging themselves.
