CFO Incubator Breakfast with Chester Moynihan and Rob Thorpe, Allegro Funds

by Greg O’Shea

For our second breakfast of the CFO Incubator series, we were thrilled to have Chester Moynihan (MD) and Rob Thorpe (COO) from Allegro join us. Both presenters gave us an insight into the world of private equity and investing in distressed assets. They shared the highs and lows of their careers and gave some quality insights in to what makes a business successful and the role the finance lead can play.
As always, we finished off the session by asking for their three pieces of advice to any aspiring CFO. For Rob his advice was: stay relevant, ensure your skills are up to date with the times; make sure you have a passion for the industry you work in; and, just “get shit done” (GSD). Chester, on the other hand, provided the following advice for finance professionals in the video below:
We would like to thank Chester and Rob for making the time and congratulate them on being awarded the TMA, Turnaround of the Year Award for the sixth time. Well done!
